There is so much to choose from in the area, from fishing in the River Tay to the numerous loch that surround Dun Aluinn. We will supply all the equipment you’ll need and whisk you away in Land Rovers, with our experienced Gillies, for a truly memorable day on the water.

Golfing on some of the worlds most iconic courses

As part of our pre-arrival Concierge service, we can book tee times on some iconic courses. Gleneagles (home of the Ryder Cup 2014) is 50 min drive, St Andrew 90mins, Blairgowrie Championship course is 45 mins drive. Perhaps enjoy a round at the nearby Crieff golf course (30 mins). We can arrange transport if required.

Dewars Whisky Tasting

Dewars is just a short walk away from Dun Aluinn, and we have teamed up with their Visitor Centre to offer whisky tasting at Dun Aluinn or at the Distillery.

Tour the distillery to see how Dewars create the distinctive honeyed richness of our whisky Access the atmospheric warehouse and learn how Dewars double age their whisky for extra smoothness.

Guests of Dun Aluinn have exclusive access to the Secret Bar, (not open to the public). Enjoy a private tour of the distillery & finish off with a wee dram of whisky in the Secret Bar.

Isle of Skye Scenic Tour by Helicopter

Unforgettable trip to the Isle of Skye directly from Dun Aluinn – landing rights at the historic Eilean Donan Castle, quick dip in the fairy pools on Skye followed by lunch at the Michelin star Three Chimneys or Kinloch Lodge restaurant. Return via Glenfinnan Viaduct of Harry Porter fame.

This photo says it all – with access to some amazing local Highland Estates we can arrange lunch deep in the Scottish wilderness, away from the maddening crowds but at one with the natural world.

Haunted Evening at Castle Menzies

One of our most popular, unique experiences for guests at Dun Aluinn – Castle Menzies is the ancestral home of the Clan Menzies, guest can book the castle for a private evening, dinner in the old castle kitchen with a massive fireplace. Haunted tour of the castle by candle-light by specialist storyteller. Castle Menzies is one of the most haunted castles in Scotland so not for the faint hearted!
